Pasta Bella Italia Monday madness

SabahBah goes to Bella Italia Pizzeria & Ristorante the other Monday to sample the pasta at will Monday madness promo. RM30, it really is madness.

SabahBah I nice and early with the eye on eat a lot and although Bella Italia was quite busy event but it was at the beginning, we have managed to obtain the table near the bar.

The agreement of the madness of pulp Monday is that you pay RM30 and you can order as much as you can eat on the Special menu created for this promotion.

Fishing is, you must finish your plate until you can order the next dish. It is all good and well, but the disadvantage is that you must wait some time for the next dish, which could take some time if the restaurant is busy.

The Monday Pasta Madness Aglio e OlioSwitch, that menu Monday pulp Madness is enough concise with 3 choices each 4 sections, which are the soups & salads, of tomato based pasta, dry pasta style and pasta in cream base.

A little quick math and you'll notice have a choice of 12 dishes in total.

At the time, that we were there, between 2 people, we have succeeded in having a soup, a garden salad and 3 pasta dishes.

The soup was Minestrone, which was nice and warm and was very tasty. We also have garden salad, which was crisp and fresh, while the sauce was a bit too spicy for our taste buds.

Inescapable pasta dish for SabahBah will always be the Aglio e Olio, which is a dish of pasta enough base with plenty of olive oil, garlic and Chile. Version Bella Italia has not disappointed, even though they were careful with Chile, perhaps because a large part of their customer base is Western, which do not always appreciate Chile as much.

The Monday Pasta Madness Salmone2Nd pasta dish was Marina. a pasta with mixed seafood & Chile. Once again, Chile was light and the tomato was eminent, but overall not bad.

The final dish of pasta, time at which we were already completed, was chosen in the section cream base. For the sake of a balanced review, you see? We have chosen the Salmone, a flat rich with homemade smoked salmon and parsley. If you are a fan of smoked salmon, you will love this dish, but attention, quite heavy, so maybe it is not on an almost full stomach.

Between the laid back pace eat us and having to wait between courses for the next, we actually good filled and positively struggled to finish the last dish.

Bella Italia Monday pulp Madness is the value of money and their regular menu, which is worth to be a check out compliments.

Competition is good for Growball

In recent years, Growball Cinemax in Centrepoint neglected their facilities, equipment and customers. But competitor cinemas have forced Growball measures.

Dropping the ball

The beginning of 2010 was low for Growball. Customers are complaining, new classrooms were popping up, and Kota Kinabalu has obtained its first cinema 3D, courtesy of the GSC.

Growball, with their low prices, has been previously loyal patronage of budget conscious moviegoers of Kota Kinabalu. But with the newly opened GSC Suria offering a high quality experience and a 3D cinema and mega Long cinemas offering quality in Donggongon, Growball clients were soon reduced to hunters of budget hardcore willing to tolerate the old seats, hear the country neighbour karaoke through walls of cinema and the Visual audio of shoddy in some of the theatres.

After a series of experiments particularly bad, SabahBah and many others, finally had enough and stopped at Growball. Growball, more that probably, noticed the increase in complaints and the decrease in customers.

Getting back on the ball

Fast forward 8 months and we met on Growball to watching a movie which shows that it.

Admittedly not the best pic ever, but you can see the new Growball seatsMuch to our surprise, we have noticed that Growball had been the subject of major renovation work. On the one hand, the stairwell leading from the 6th to the 8th floor was carpeted and padded, immediately ready a quality feel to the home of the Growball.

So far we have watching movies in the rooms, 5 and 7 and the two cinemas are like new (others may also be, but we cannot confirm). Bare concrete floors were carpets, walls have been carefully padded with acoustic materials, all seats are newly upholstered, solid and comfortable and the sound quality is greatly improved.

24 Oct 2010: SabahBah Buried in the infamous 3 film and unfortunately no renovations have affected this film. You do not know if the sound has been fixed, but it was certainly not 100%, the floors are always bare cement and, because the film was relatively calm, the neighbouring country karaoke was unfortunate audible in much of the film.

Partial response from the Growball their clients have been noted and doing a little bit, probably saved their business of some endangered. Growball can offer once more a wide selection of films from prices at the most competitive in Kota Kinabalu - and quality in movie theatres which have been renovated.

3D input too

The area of restaurant/function with the entrance at the cinema 8 closed and is now converted to a 3D cinema. With this edition Growball could really give GSC a run for their money (assuming that all rooms will be renovated).

We shall not be held our breathe, but will keep a keen eye on Groball Cinemax in Centrepoint.
